A CARETAKER BAMBOOZLED TENANTS WITHOUT DELIVERING THE MONEY PAID FOR HOUSE RENT TO THE LANDLORD

The land lord of Joking lodge (opposite Edo State Poly) at Usen forcefully intruded into students room with thugs.

Saturday which is on the 6th of February 2021 , it was reported that a Landlord of the Lodge known as "Joking lodge" forcefully break into some students room with thugs and claiming the money paid by the students for their house rent to his caretaker wasn't delivered to him.

The two students whose names are identified to be Iyanu Oluwa and Marvellous From Mass communication department and Public Administration department rented house from the caretaker early this year 2021 and they paid all their bills for house rent with the evidence of receipt issued by the care taker . The landlord who was said to had paid a visit to the place ask the two students living in the same room the money for their house rent  and the students responded by saying "we have paid our house rent to the caretaker and this is our receipt" .

The landlord who truly confirmed that the house rent has been paid to the caretaker intentionally intruded into the students room with his thugs and pack out their baggages and luggages .
The students held the caretaker at randome  and dragged him to police station nearby Okada in Edo State.

After the incidence in the evening time , other students in the lodge went to the Oba of Usen land to protest against the ill treatment. According to one of the protesters he said "we went to the palace to protest and the second in command to the Oba (King of Usen land ) has solicited for us and ordered that the room should be unlocked, and the students should pack their properties in without hesitation .

USEN COMMUNITY REGAINS PEACE

Usen, a community housing Edo State Polytechnic has regained back her peace some hours after a young man was shot by some unknown gun men. The incidence which happen around 3pm today left everyone in the community with tension and fear. However, some vendors, shop owners and students have confirmed that truly a young man was reportedly shot by some young men who drove to the shop of the young man by name Mr Folorunso and shot him.  However, after the incidence the indigenous security together with other security officials known as Gboolaga are fully in charged and have taken it upon themselves to ensure the community is safe for all to live and relate.
