Edo State Polytechnic has granted a scholarship award to ten indegenes of Usen community to study in any field of their choice both ND/HND. The Rector, Prof Abiodun Falodun has made known to the king of Usen Community during a visit to the king's palace before the convocation press review on Tuesday, October 26, where the polytechnic is located that Edo State Polytechnic has granted  ten indegenes a scholarship award to study their desire courses.   The Rector Prof. Abiodun noted during his speech that, the scholarship award is a token of appreciation to the Community for accepting and supporting the Polytechnic.  "Therefore, it is a way by which the polytechnic can repay the community back of her tireless efforts to make the school a renowned one". Third Inaugural lecture of Edo State Polytechnic Usen, delivered by Dr. Stanley Osayenwenre Edobor, Chief lecturer of Banking and Finance on Thursday, 21 of Sept centres on automated Teller Machine (ATM) Innovation in solving today's challenges.  The HOD of Mass Communication Department, Miss Hellen Ugbogbo has given out award of excellence to some distinguished final year students, during their sign out and admonished them to practicalize what they have learnt about their noble profession during their 2years ND programme, in Edo State Polytechnic Usen. Yesterday, which was the final day for the last exam of the final year students of Mass Communication was remarkable as the HOD of the department presented awards of excellence to some distinguished students of the department, for their outstanding performances. Among the students were Falodun Bode, Okoruwa Jennifer who was given the honorary award of overall best well dressed student, and Favor, the finest student and other award presented to other students. The HOD also admonished the students to be of good character and behavior as that will aid them coupled with what they have learnt in the cause of their two years programme in the department of Mass Communication Edo State

 TEAM CICERO political banner erected at Lion's gate junction Igbinedion has been reportedly detached and taken away by unknown personnels, Edo State Polytechnic Usen. Some unknown persons has reportedly detached the banner of a political team in Edo State Polytechnic, aspiring for posts in the Student Union Government (SUG) in the polytechnic.  According to one of the aspirant who volunteered to always check the banner daily, he noted during an interview with shalomupdatez.blogspot.com this morning, that the banner has been consecutively over throwned three times by unknown personnels, and he has been raising the banner back to the right position, however, this morning, he was flabbergasted to see the wood void of banner.  The banner was detached from the wood, but the wood used in rasing it up still remains at the right position  infront of Igbinedion University gate known as "lion gate".
