The HOD of Mass Communication department gives out award to distinguish final year students and also admonish them to be of good conduct.

 The HOD of Mass Communication Department, Miss Hellen Ugbogbo has given out award of excellence to some distinguished final year students, during their sign out and admonished them to practicalize what they have learnt about their noble profession during their 2years ND programme, in Edo State Polytechnic Usen.

Yesterday, which was the final day for the last exam of the final year students of Mass Communication was remarkable as the HOD of the department presented awards of excellence to some distinguished students of the department, for their outstanding performances. Among the students were Falodun Bode, Okoruwa Jennifer who was given the honorary award of overall best well dressed student, and Favor, the finest student and other award presented to other students.


The HOD also admonished the students to be of good character and behavior as that will aid them coupled with what they have learnt in the cause of their two years programme in the department of Mass Communication Edo State Polytechnic Usen.  He further stated that life after school matters alot, therefore, they should take note of how they live their lives outside the school, because the department has invested in them and they also should be a good representative of the school and the department wherever they find themselves.

After the admonishment was the cutting of cakes coupled with taking of photographs. The students were all jubilating as they all appear on white T-shirt/round neck  some with the inscription; delayed not denied, HND loading, I finally  made it... With blue jeans.

USEN COMMUNITY REGAINS PEACE

Usen, a community housing Edo State Polytechnic has regained back her peace some hours after a young man was shot by some unknown gun men. The incidence which happen around 3pm today left everyone in the community with tension and fear. However, some vendors, shop owners and students have confirmed that truly a young man was reportedly shot by some young men who drove to the shop of the young man by name Mr Folorunso and shot him.  However, after the incidence the indigenous security together with other security officials known as Gboolaga are fully in charged and have taken it upon themselves to ensure the community is safe for all to live and relate.

One dead Around EdoPoly School Gate

A young man has reportedly been shot dead around the school gate premises, in Usen, the community housing Edo State Polytechnic, Usen. A source confirmed it to Shalomupdatez that the issue happens around 3pm. "The demise Folorunso shot by two guys who suddenly came out of a vehicle and trigger the gun twice" he noted. Another source however also claims that the demise is a welder and his mother is a well known fish seller in Usen community. While investigating the matter, a passer by, a woman in the community was found making call saying, "your brother Folorunso whose mother sell fish has been shot, and he is dead".
