Third Inaugural lecture of Edo State Polytechnic Usen, delivered by Dr. Stanley Osayenwenre Edobor, Chief lecturer of Banking and Finance on Thursday, 21 of Sept centres on automated Teller Machine (ATM) Innovation in solving today's challenges.

The Rector Prof. Abiodun Falodun having applauded the institution and staffs for their relentless, joint and great effort in moving the institution to a great height. He noted that eighteen academic programs have just been accredited amidst the pandemic which serve as setback for many other institutions.

The rector further noted that the third and fourth Convocation ceremony have been approved by His Excellency Governor Godwin Obaseki, which will be coming up on the 26-28 of Sept 2021.

Dr Stanley Osayenwenre Edobor, Chief lecturer of the Department of Banking and Finance has given an epiphany to the advantages and roles the ATM plays in our contemporary world. He noted during his lecture that the invention of ATM has granted an easy access to bank services. It has also helped bank customers to bypass the queing theory which consume costly time.

Doctor Stanley further noted that the first ATM was invented in the year 1939 though it wasn't really a success. He quoted saying "Amidst the numerous advantages of the ATM, there are divers disadvantages that is attached to it

USEN COMMUNITY REGAINS PEACE

Usen, a community housing Edo State Polytechnic has regained back her peace some hours after a young man was shot by some unknown gun men. The incidence which happen around 3pm today left everyone in the community with tension and fear. However, some vendors, shop owners and students have confirmed that truly a young man was reportedly shot by some young men who drove to the shop of the young man by name Mr Folorunso and shot him.  However, after the incidence the indigenous security together with other security officials known as Gboolaga are fully in charged and have taken it upon themselves to ensure the community is safe for all to live and relate.
