NEW STUDENTS ORIENTATION DAY2

Edo State polytechnic holds her New Students Orientation again today which is 15 April, 2021. The program which commences by the recitation of the national anthem and school anthem goes thus;

ADMISSION PROCESS (Admission Officer)

There are three categories of issues that will be addressed, and they are:

*Those who chose the school as first choice/ change of institution :

These categories of people will be given admission automatically by Jamb, they do not have issue with getting their admission letter from jamb if they truly follow the proper process. Those who have not upload their o level result to jamb sites should endeavour to do that

*The third categories are those who did not write jamb at all. It is necessary these categories of students to endeavour to write jamb for future purpose. It will give them problem in the future whenever they want to enroll for their HND or Youth Service Corps.

*Physical Clearance :some of  your documents that will be required for physical clearance are as follow:

*jamb original letter/changing of institution 

*Affidavit of good conduct/affidavit of non member of any cult group.

*Two passport

*Birth certificate 

*State of origin

*School admission letter

For the HND students , there ND result will be required and their jamb admission letter also. The jamb admission letter is required inorder to prevent negative effects in the future during enrollment for corps service .

*NORMS AND VALUES OF USEN COMMUNITY (By The Registrar, Richard Olawure)

TAKE NOTE: Everyone of you are from difference places and I believed that you all have your norms, values, does and don't. I am standing before you this day, not with the motive of scaring you or imbibing fear in you but to educate you on the norms, and values of the community.

* Usen is a unique community with a king  recognised as "Oluogbe II".

*Today that is a market day, there is a road that is opposite to the market, which is the exact road to the palace,there is a river at the extreme end of the road, on market days you don't go to the river until 2pm. There are some places you do not wash around that river. And again, you do not wear shoes or slippers into the rivers.

*Ladies are not permitted to go near the river during their menstrual periods.

*If there is any sacrid ceremony, information will be passed across to all students of this polytechnic 

*It is prohibited to make love on bare flow or in the open place in Usen community. 

*When it is 6pm in the evening, you are not allowed to whisper in Usen community.

*There is a river in the olden days where one cannot look back while passing by,  but now a days one can look back. This measured has been tampered with as a result of civilization and students.

*Stealing is forbidden in this community (It is better to ask for something rather than stealing. The registrar further stressed that a good number of indegene of Usen community entertain strangers, and they extend their charity arms by giving to any strangers that ask from them rather than stealing.

*Avoid night outing in this communities and unnecessary invitation to parties.

*In Usen community cultism is forbidden.

*There are some areas that you are not allowed to go to in the night.
