Two injure in a fatal accident opposite Edo State Polytechnic

Two students injured in a fatal accident that happen opposite Edo State Polytechnic Usen school gate, around 6pm on April 21.

It was reported that two students from the department of Mass Communication in Edo State Polytechnic by name, Akunyemi Damilola and Seyi got involved in an accident opposite the school gate with a red car.

The driver who was said to be careless divert from his path and hit the innocent students who were standing at the pedestrian lane. 

According to our correspondent Kuti Solomon says "both of them has been rushed to Igbinedion hospital and they are responding to treatment, but Akunyemi has been referred to University of Benin Teaching Hospital due to the bone fracture on her two legs. Seyi is still at Igbinedion and he is responding to treatment, he has no fracture but wounds.

"Consultant incharge Prof. Irhigbogbe is yet to be reached but I have been able to reach the doctor incharge, Dr Abdulmalik and we have been able to speak with her class rep Mighty Shalom, who followed the ambulance used to rush Akunyemi down to UBTH. The doctors are attending to her and the position where she sustain bone fracture has been treated"

"I really appreciate the effort of the SUG executives who took it as a responsibilty to rescue the life of the students to the hospital and also ensured that the owner of car did not escapedx they also  pay part of their bills, says, Mighty Shalom, the class rep of the two victims".

USEN COMMUNITY REGAINS PEACE

Usen, a community housing Edo State Polytechnic has regained back her peace some hours after a young man was shot by some unknown gun men. The incidence which happen around 3pm today left everyone in the community with tension and fear. However, some vendors, shop owners and students have confirmed that truly a young man was reportedly shot by some young men who drove to the shop of the young man by name Mr Folorunso and shot him.  However, after the incidence the indigenous security together with other security officials known as Gboolaga are fully in charged and have taken it upon themselves to ensure the community is safe for all to live and relate.
