EDO STATE POLY NEW TRANSFORMER CATCHES FIRE
Students preparing for examination left in thick darkness as the school newly erected transformer caught fire.
The newly wired transformer of Edo State Polytechnic has reportedly caught fire this evening around 8:15pm. The nd1/hnd2 students that are preparing for their exams which had been aforetime scheduled to hold on the 5th of July 2021 we're in their various classes reading for their exams when they noticed a strange fire/spark that appears on the top of the transformer and wires.
The transformer stop functioning after numerous Sparks of light, the cause of the spark is not known yet. The students, preparing for examination have to rescue out the issue by putting on their florecent and phone touches. While some of the students need to return home as they are helpless and couldn't help their situation as a result of the absence of electricity and any other source of light.
"I think the management should quickly see to this and help us out by reparing the damaged trasnformer or powering the school light with generator" says one of the students of ESPU preparing to write exam tomorrow. "The SUG government should also take it as a point of responsibility to ensure the management help the students out of this thick darkness, as the school has been in darkness for long, and the newly powered transformer has not even function for a week before developing u precedented faults.
