Edo State Deputy Governor, Phillip Shaibu Breaks Silence on Plot Against His Excellency Gov. Godwin Obaseki

Edo State Deput Governor has breaker silence over a suscipious plot against the State Governor, His excellency Godwin Obaseki.

He made this statement on Saturday with his aides during a meeting on Saturday, where he refered to such rumor spread about concerning his coup as baseless.

Stressing his accomplishment over years, he narrated that his main objective ever from the time of his emergence as the State Deputy Governor is to always support the Obaseki administration, to make sure he, the Governor good will towards the people is accomplished.

According to him, he noted saying, “I have consistently advocated policies and initiatives that align with this administration’s goals and aspirations.

 “It is disheartening to see the baseless allegations being propagated, as they only serve to distract the Obaseki’s administration from its primary objective of adequately serving the people of Edo State.

“I remain an unrepentant democrat. I believe in the democratic process. I respect the mandate given to Governor Obaseki and my humble self by the people of Edo State. 

“The insinuation that I am considering a coup, to overthrow a democratically-elected government in Edo is not only absurd but deeply offensive.”

USEN COMMUNITY REGAINS PEACE

Usen, a community housing Edo State Polytechnic has regained back her peace some hours after a young man was shot by some unknown gun men. The incidence which happen around 3pm today left everyone in the community with tension and fear. However, some vendors, shop owners and students have confirmed that truly a young man was reportedly shot by some young men who drove to the shop of the young man by name Mr Folorunso and shot him.  However, after the incidence the indigenous security together with other security officials known as Gboolaga are fully in charged and have taken it upon themselves to ensure the community is safe for all to live and relate.

One dead Around EdoPoly School Gate

A young man has reportedly been shot dead around the school gate premises, in Usen, the community housing Edo State Polytechnic, Usen. A source confirmed it to Shalomupdatez that the issue happens around 3pm. "The demise Folorunso shot by two guys who suddenly came out of a vehicle and trigger the gun twice" he noted. Another source however also claims that the demise is a welder and his mother is a well known fish seller in Usen community. While investigating the matter, a passer by, a woman in the community was found making call saying, "your brother Folorunso whose mother sell fish has been shot, and he is dead".
