UNILORIN ISSUES A PRESS RELEASE OM MODALITIES OF ELECTION

The independent Students electoral commission (UISEC), 2021/2022 academic session has issued a press release on modalities of election, on the 18th of August, 2023.

A copy of the press release was pasted on the school Facebook platform as early as 6:30 am, below is the details of the press release;

MODALITIES FOR ELECTION (MAIN CAMPUS) 

The voting process for all students at the main campus shall be conducted online via www.unilorin.edu.ng.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR VOTING 
1. Online voting starts by exactly 10:00am and closes by 5:00pm today 
2. Log in to your Student's portal @ www.unilorin.edu.ng
3. Click on the e-voting link at the left side of your portal 
4. A page will load, requesting for OTP
5. Check for the OTP sent on your active number 
6. Input the OTP in the space provided 
7. Proceed to cast your votes 

Every 100 level student (especially those whose faculties are at college) should be aware that they'll be casting all their votes online, having the same guidelines listed above. 

*NOTE:* _Any vote cast without OTP will be considered void and will not count_

USEN COMMUNITY REGAINS PEACE

Usen, a community housing Edo State Polytechnic has regained back her peace some hours after a young man was shot by some unknown gun men. The incidence which happen around 3pm today left everyone in the community with tension and fear. However, some vendors, shop owners and students have confirmed that truly a young man was reportedly shot by some young men who drove to the shop of the young man by name Mr Folorunso and shot him.  However, after the incidence the indigenous security together with other security officials known as Gboolaga are fully in charged and have taken it upon themselves to ensure the community is safe for all to live and relate.

One dead Around EdoPoly School Gate

A young man has reportedly been shot dead around the school gate premises, in Usen, the community housing Edo State Polytechnic, Usen. A source confirmed it to Shalomupdatez that the issue happens around 3pm. "The demise Folorunso shot by two guys who suddenly came out of a vehicle and trigger the gun twice" he noted. Another source however also claims that the demise is a welder and his mother is a well known fish seller in Usen community. While investigating the matter, a passer by, a woman in the community was found making call saying, "your brother Folorunso whose mother sell fish has been shot, and he is dead".
