Lewandowski Set for MLS Move as Chicago Fire Reach Agreement

Poland international striker Robert Lewandowski is set to begin a new chapter in his illustrious career after reaching an agreement to join Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire, according to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Romano disclosed that the former Barcelona forward agreed to personal terms with the MLS club following a visit to Chicago, where he held meetings with club officials two weeks ago. The transfer is expected to be finalized early next week, with Lewandowski scheduled to sign his contract before being officially unveiled.

The move will see one of Europe's most prolific goalscorers make the switch to the United States after an outstanding career that has spanned Poland, Germany and Spain. Throughout his career, Lewandowski won multiple league titles and enjoyed tremendous success with Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Barcelona, cementing his reputation as one of the finest strikers of his generation.

Chicago Fire are expected to benefit significantly from the arrival of the 37-year-old, whose experience, leadership and goalscoring ability are anticipated to strengthen the club's ambitions on and off the pitch. The Poland captain is also expected to become one of Major League Soccer's biggest attractions.

An official announcement is expected once all contractual formalities have been completed.
