VDM Urges Sowore Supporters to Protest Peacefully, Avoid Blocking Court Access

Popular social media influencer, activist, and leader of the Ratel Movement, Vincent Martin Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has urged members of the Take It Back Movement and supporters of activist Omoyele Sowore to conduct themselves peacefully during any planned protest at the court premises.

In a statement shared on his Facebook page ahead of the scheduled court proceedings, VDM advised protesters to exercise their constitutional rights responsibly and refrain from blocking roads leading to the court.

According to him, while peaceful protest remains a fundamental civil right, supporters must ensure that their actions do not create unnecessary disruptions or provide authorities with grounds to act against them.

VDM described the ongoing legal battle involving Sowore and the Federal Government as a situation that requires wisdom and strategic thinking from supporters. He cautioned that any act capable of obstructing public movement or disrupting court activities could be used to undermine the cause being championed by the protesters.

He therefore called on members of the Take It Back Movement to remain law-abiding, peaceful, and focused on their message while demonstrating support for Sowore.

The activist's remarks come amid growing public interest in the legal proceedings involving Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congess,  AAC with supporters expected to gather at the court premises in solidarity with the presidential candidate and human rights advocate.
