TWO DEAD, ONE BRUTALLY INJURE IN BENIN/LAGOS ROAD ACCIDENT Two persons have reportedly feared dead while one brutally injured in a grastous accident that happens in, Okada junction, Benin/Lagos express road, Edo State, on August 18, 2023. An eye witness who claims to be travelling while the incident happens narrated to Shalompudate that the accident happens between two bikers who clash with each other at the center of the road.  "Before the bikers could regain their strength an upcoming truck crushed the head of one of the biker whose name is popularly known as YAKUBU at the center of the road, which cause his brain to gush out and split on the floor". A copy of the press release was pasted on the school Facebook platform as early as 6:30 am, below is the details of the press release;  PRESS RELEASE Friday, 18th August 2023 06:00am MODALITIES FOR ELECTION (MAIN CAMPUS)  The voting process for all students at the main campus shall be conducted online via www.unilorin.edu.ng. The Management of Edo State Polytechnic, Usen has conducted a screening exercise for the first batch of applicants into the various school programmes, for the 2023/2024 academic session, on Thursday 17th, 2023. The screening exercise commenced some minutes after 10am in the new Multi Million tetfund building, opposite the school twin building. The admission officer, Mr Nagudia Osaro while addressing the students before the commencement of the screening stated that His Excellency Dr Godwin Obaseki, the able Governor of Edo State has eased the tension of screening exercise. He further noted that the Governor bids that screening exercise should be carried out in a friendly manner. Mr Nagudia also commended the students for chosing Edo State Polytechnic. The award was presented to him today in his office, after the visit by the immediate past President of  CAN in the Campus, Pastor Jeffrey Kadiri. The President, Comr Ehis has taken to his WhatsApp Status today to appreciate the leadership of CAN for the outstanding award. EDOPOLY: Management Releases Ultimatum Date For Vacation_Hostel Occupants The Management of Edo State Polytechnic has issued a quick notice in a circular to HND1 and ND1 students that are occupants of the school hall of residence, to vacate on Saturday, 19th of August, 2023. Following the multiple unprecedented issues that surfaced in the school community, the management has taken a strict precaution to ensure there is maximum security for students while writing their exams. In respect of this, a circular signed and issued from the office of the Dean of students, Engr. Kingsley Edobor has elucidated that ND1 and HND1 students who will be rounding up their exam this week should immediately vacate the school hall of residence before Sunday. The Management vividly states that "Any ND1 and HND1 Students found in the campus beyond Sunday, 20th of August 2023, will be subjected to appropriate disciplinary measures".

Chef Maliha Mohammed, A chef who hailed from Kenyan has broken Hilda Bacci record after cooking for 95 hours period. In a span of nearly two months, Hilda Baci’s achievement of being recognized by Guinness World Records as the individual with the longest cooking time (93 hours and 11 minutes) has been surpassed by a Kenyan chef. Starting her marathon cooking endeavor on August 11th, Chef Maliha Mohammed has informally established a fresh record by diligently cooking for a continuous 95-hour period. On Tuesday, via a post on her Instagram page, Maliha revealed her achievement, via a distinctive flyer that confidently reads, “NEW WORLD RECORD” She wrote; “@seagasltd Yes, we did it! New world record holder for the longest home kitchen cooking marathon in town 😎😎 Shukran for the support 💯” Recall that Chef Hilda Baci who hails from Nigeria enters the Guinness Book of Records after cooking for  93 hours 11 minutes as a single individual.
